If you've been here before then you know this is the best Rail Jam for miles and miles! As always, it will be held in Smith Park in the SouthEast corner by the Hospital. We will have a very similar set up as last year for the features but hope to have an improved drop in as well as better crowd control for lining up for the features. Registration- Due to the numbers of participants last year we are going to have to limit how many people can compete. To make sure you are able to compete we are inviting people to come into the store, or call ahead (208.356.7116) to pre-register. If you pre-register then there will only be a $15 charge (we can take a card # over the phone). We will also hold registration the morning of the event as we are setting up (cash only). If you register that morning then registration will be $20 so be sure to register early! Competition Divisions- We hope to have enough participants to warrant two or three classes of snowboarders divided by either age and skill, as well as a girls class, and a skiers class. This is flexible depending on how many participants we have. Judging/Format- We are still deliberating the specific details but expect a judge on each feature. These judges will be looking for style first and foremost, technicality of the trick, and execution, meaning you gotta land bolts son! Make sure you get a score on each feature during the jam sessions. Your scores from each feature will be averaged together to help the judges in their evaluations. There will be elimination rounds followed by a Final for each division. A "Tough as Nails" winner will be announced Riders will collaborate on a "Best Trick" winner Expect prizes and swag! 10:00am- Registration opens 11:30am- Practice begins 1:00pm- Competition starts! HELMETS ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL RIDERS Big shout out to our SPONSORS! In no particular order: Coal Headwear, 32 Boots, Union Bindings, Cassette Company, Burton Snowboards, Smith Optics, Von Zipper, and Capita Snowboards! More may be forthcoming... Big thanks to everyone that came out and had a good time! Springtime Root Beer Floater from joehill on Vimeo. The kids like to build jumps and hit them. Unfortunately they don't always land. But it's fun anyway! We are now a Cheetah Factory Racing Dealer! Sales will be by special order only for now. If you've been accessing the backcountry by using a snowmobile and you are annoyed having to carry your board or your skis on your backpack then this is the best solution possible! Used by professional snowboarders across the industry including names like Travis Rice! Untitled from Jake McNair on Vimeo. This is just a little teaser of some snowmobiling and one line down some stuff we found in the Teton Range The STICKS AND STONES MOVIE PREMIERE PARTY of Welcome to the Hood is indeed going to be a party.
