10/10/2013

Picture
Sled Shed is proud to be putting on our 12th Rail Jam!

The government may shut down but we will continue the same as always!!! Best Rail Jam around by far!!!

As always, it will be held in Smith Park in the SouthEast corner by the Hospital. Setup will be similar to last year but we are hoping to involve a bungee cord for faster pull ins for those brave enough to gap to the down portion of the double kink or whatever other creative uses they can find for it!

Registration-
We are inviting people to come into the store, or call ahead (208.356.7116) to pre-register. If you pre-register then there will only be a $15 charge (we can take a card # over the phone). We will also hold registration the morning of the event as we are setting up (cash only). If you register that morning then registration will be $20 so be sure to register early so you can buy a Big Mac combo after we're done!

Competition Divisions-
We hope to have enough participants to justify two or three classes of snowboarders divided by either age and skill, as well as a girls class, and a skiers class. This is flexible depending on how many participants we have.

Judging/Format-
10-15 minute jam sessions same as always. Expect a judge on each feature. These judges will be looking for style first and foremost, technicality of the trick, and execution, meaning you gotta land bolts son! Make sure you get a score on each feature during the jam sessions. Your scores from each feature will be averaged together to help the judges in their evaluations. There will be elimination rounds followed by a Final for each division.

A "Tough as Nails" winner will be announced

"Best Mustache/Best Facial Hair/Most Radical Hairdo" winner will also be announced... Start growing now!!!

Riders will collaborate on a "Best Trick" winner

Expect prizes and swag!
